#Hololens is toast. And if they've backed off, all those other #XR attempts are completely fucked too.

#Microsoft was, far and away, the one most likely to pull it off. They not only had target customers, they had a contract! With the military (who are idiots who buy just about anything even remotely viable cus it makes them look fancy)!

If even that backing couldn't get them to find a compelling use case? A market? Ain't nobody gonna find it.

2018年にMicrosoftとアメリカ陸軍の間で契約が締結された「軍用Hololens」が延期後の納期に間に合う見通しが立っていないと報じられました。この一件は最大219億ドル(約2兆5000億円)という大型契約でしたが、開発から3年経過時点における進捗は「戦闘用ゴーグルとしての性能を実証していない」という評です。
